MAKE TECH PERSONAL.
We connect people, brands and media
The digital transformation is shaping our society, our economy, our leisure and consumer behaviour. We see this as an opportunity for the value-adding power of communication. At the same time, we are all caught up in the daily overflow of messages, posts and clicks in a tough competition for attention and perception.
Good stories deserve attention, innovative products deserve a resonance, responsible experts and entrepreneurship deserve recognition and trust.
We help companies and their executives to get their positions, solutions and products heard by the right target groups and to score points in the competition for attention and resonance. Visible and measurable on all media channels.
We see ourselves as a boutique PR agency. We are proud of our good, close customer relationships. At the same time, we can scale up at any time as we work closely with many partners and friends of the agency, both locally and globally.
Oliver
Experienced in PR work on both the agency and corporate side. He was previously a press officer at the internet pioneer Yahoo and PR manager at the Avantgarde Group and MMK Hamburg. As a Hamburg native as well as fan of Bavarian lifestyle, he loves the Upper Bavarian mountains just as much as the North German coast (and discovering new countries with impressive cultures, of course!). Oliver, who is socially committed to various organisations, is founder and managing partner of HARVARD Engage.
Ava
The graduate communications manager has been juggling a wide range of topics from gaming entertainment to cyber security and new work every day at HARVARD for ten years now. In her free time, she enjoys the Bavarian way of life, motorcycling and horse riding, as well as travelling to foreign countries.
Katharina
This cheerful Rhinelander is up to speed on the latest PR and social media trends, and writes everything from short commentaries to specialist articles on digital transformation, hybrid work or IT security – always tech-savvy and comprehensible. She relaxes best at the ballet and on long walks along the river Isar.
Moritz
Born in Munich, but also at home here with heart and soul. And with agency dog Hugo! Grew up with Playstation and has been connected to HARVARD for a long time: used to be more concerned with home entertainment (PR for DVDs!), e-scooters or energy topics such as ultracapacitors. Today, our PR professional for the latest tech developments, 3D printing, electronics, gaming and corporate learning platforms.
Sabine
As a communications professional, she loves the ever-changing tech industry and the many exciting IT topics from the B2B and B2C world. In her private life, she focuses less on AI, the metaverse or software engineering and more on rock music and concerts, hiking in the mountains or reading crime novels.
Monika
Malaysia, Canada, Steiermark – this Munich native with an Austrian passport always has her camera with her. At HARVARD, she has been delving into the depths of technology communication for many years: from consumer topics such as travel search, robotic lawn mowers and digital imaging to the business world with streaming technology, IT networks, No-Code or 3D printing.
Heike
Our accountant has already worked for Keke Rosberg and other Formula 1 drivers, putting her in pole position when it comes to accounting and organisation. She likes to escape the world of numbers by reading English books.
HUGO
We can't imagine our office without this sweet furry friend. He quickly takes new team members to his heart and even die-hard cat lovers let him wrap them around his little finger. Has known HARVARD since he was a baby, so it is a job for his lifetime.
Lean structures, experts and scalability
As a one-stop agency for Germany and Europe, we combine consulting and implementation, forming a reliable ‘best-of-breed’ network with our partners.
We support communicators, marketers and business leaders, offering lean structures or scaling our teams as needed to meet our clients' requirements.
We are supported by a worldwide network of experts and agency partners from a range of fields: ESG and CSR consulting, public affairs, crisis communication, advertising and graphic design, film and photo production, influencer and celebrity placement, management coaching or in financial and legal matters.
For international projects, we work together with partners in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia in global communications teams or even as the lead agency.
HARVARD: PR Agency in Munich, London and worldwide
Since 1996, as a Munich-based communications agency, we have been helping companies to achieve greater attention, reputation and business success with strategic PR, brand building and content marketing. From global players to start-ups, we showcase products, brands and movers and shakers. Our core team in Munich, which works with a worldwide network of partners and experts from the DACH region, ensures that this is the case.
Our name is no coincidence: Nicholas Harvard Taylor, a veteran of European technology PR and a descendant of the eponym of Harvard University, founded the agency brand in 1979, which, like our customers and the legendary elite university, stands for innovation, technical progress and internationality.
The second part of our agency name is our motto: ‘Engage!’ stands for interaction instead of one-way communication. We make a splash and emotionalise our clients' topics, products and brands.
HARVARD Munich has been known as a PR agency for the DACH region for almost 30 years. Since 2016, we have been operating as an independent and owner-managed company under the agency name HARVARD Engage! Communications.
Think Future: Communication in the Digital World
Technologies fascinate because they can enrich our lives – at work, in our free time, and in both the individual and global context. Progress is fuelled by deep tech, the search for scientific and technological breakthroughs that can be transferred into new business models. The digital transformation is not only fundamentally changing business processes in all industries, but is also significantly shaping our society.
We see this as an opportunity. For innovations that help the world move forward, need to be explained and ideally also make it a little better. An opportunity for the value-adding power of communication and the possibilities of strategic PR . For PR work with real impact!
-
Artificial intelligence, ChatGPT, networked machines, virtual reality, the Internet of Things – technologies are driving the transformation to automation and adaptive use and new business models at a breath-taking pace. What makes a technology smart or intelligent is its ability to communicate and collaborate with other networked technologies. We understand the complexity and use it to develop compelling, understandable stories for both experts and non-IT professionals.
-
Streaming, sharing, immersive experiences, gaming, news, apps and social media – we control our digital life with our smartphone. Every day, we discover new treasures here. A lot of it is simply more accessible, some of it is really useful. And yes, some of it is just fun. The future opportunities for digital business are unlimited – and every good idea has a good story!
-
In the past, progress and growth were the order of the day. Today, innovation is all the more important to achieve greater sustainability and make the world a better place. Behind every market-ready idea, there is always a clever mind: people who try things out. Game changers who leave the beaten track. Doers who have something to say and deserve attention – we make sure they get it.
-
Good communication thrives on credibility – on people with passion and know-how who can put the big picture and the detailed knowledge in the context of social relevance and market perspectives in an understandable way. Thought leadership is not a communication tool, but part of the corporate strategy of occupying relevant topics and trends for oneself. In this way, a brand positions itself through its speakers with statements and trend observations, moving away from being a mere market participant to becoming an expert who is listened to.
-
Multinational companies need to put down local roots to be successful. International PR is successful when it combines global standards with a local flavour, taking into account country-specific aspects, target groups and the media landscape. Our global player clients work with international agency teams. As consultants, we provide feedback on how the DACH region ticks and ensure the right mix that is relevant for German-speaking media.
-
Sustainability communication has long since ceased to be a ‘nice to have’. It is a cornerstone of a value-oriented corporate culture. At the same time, ESG regulations continue to increase. Consumers and customers evaluate brands in terms of how they fulfil their social responsibility. This is where strategic PR comes in: taking a stand on credible topics, winning favour – far removed from social and greenwashing.
-
The media world has changed radically and with it the work of communicators: media houses and trade publishers are more multimedia-based than ever before, and content creators are expanding the PR spectrum. We see identifying which message reaches attention through which channel and which pitfalls need to be avoided in our fragmented communication world as the core of our agency services. The basis for this is data tools, digital know-how and good contacts – including analogue ones.
-
Breaking news is rare in corporate and product communication, but a regular ‘PR push’ is still in demand. We make sure that the topic engine is running for the continuous background noise as well as for important announcements. We create content: from editorial articles, ad hoc comments, blog and social posts to extensive case studies and statements for internal communication. Good storytelling is what turns a niche topic into an exciting story.
